Goodwill Matric Higher Secondary School visit   (9th October 2024)

On 9th October 2024, a team of five students and staff members from the Visual Communication department visited Goodwill Matric Higher Secondary School to introduce students to the dynamic field of visual communication. The purpose of the visit was to create awareness and generate interest in visual communication as a career pathway, showcasing the course's unique blend of creativity, technology, and media skills.

The session began with an engaging presentation covering the basics of visual communication, including its applications in design, film, photography, digital media, and advertising. The Vis. Com. team shared real-life examples and project work to give students a glimpse into the creative nature of the course. Following the presentation, students participated in interactive activities, such as basic design and photography exercises, to get a firsthand experience in creativity.

Throughout the visit, the Vis. Com. students shared their own experiences, challenges, and achievements, providing insights into the exciting learning environment of the course. They highlighted how visual communication skills are increasingly valuable in various career fields and discussed pathways for further education and job prospects in the industry.

The visit concluded with a Q & A session, where school students had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance from the Vis. Com. team. By the end of the session, many students expressed enthusiasm towards visual communication, with several considering it as a potential career option. The event was a rewarding experience for both the visiting team and the school students, successfully promoting the field of visual communication and inspiring future creators.
