PG & Research Department of Commerce

Masters in Commerce was introduced in the year 2009. It has qualified faculty members who actively engage in teaching and research. Further, various types of special lectures, seminars, workshops are being conducted periodically to enrich the knowledge of the students. The faculty team guides the students at every step, motivating them to become worthy managers and administrators. In 2014, PG Department added an extra feather to its cap by becoming a research department with recognized research supervisors guiding full-time research scholars. The department always encourages innovativeness among students and research scholars and lays the foundation for them to acquire learning ability by organizing guest lectures at regular intervals. Workshop in data analysis and interpretation is conducted every year to provide simple way of data analysis through interactive and practice sessions along with theory.

M.Com (General) :

Program Outcomes (Pos):

PO1: Graduates can operate in commerce and business worldwide as Commercial Professional.

PO2:  Contributes to the advancement of professionalism in trade, commerce and industry.

PO3: M Com graduate can seek jobs: Auditing, Banking and finance, Electronic marketing, Funds management, Management consulting, Stock Broking

PSO1: To train the students to have expertise to face the fast changing environment successfully.

PSO2: After completing M Com, students are given a choice to major in any of the given specializations and can go for further studies or courses like in research or doctoral level.

PSO3: This program acquaints and equips students with the knowledge and understanding of emerging commercial, business practices and professions in India and abroad.

Course Outcome :

CO1: The program is generally focused on different disciplines like accounting, HR& corporate sectors.

CO2: This course is especially meant for college students who are presently at the entry level and want to expand their knowledge and career.

CO3:  focusing on modern practices and Strategies followed in Commerce.

M.Phil Commerce

Program Outcomes (Pos):

PO1: Mphil scholars can attain the positions of a speaker, teacher, assistant professor, consultant, human services worker, social service workers, and research assistant

PO2: Students would learn knowledge skills such as Planning, Designing, Engaging, and interpreting data for problem-solving questions.

Course Outcome:

CO1: This area of studies such as Accounting, Finance, International Business, Marketing and organization, behavior and development. This course prepares students to achieve methodological competencies in the selected field.

Ethics and values of Academic Integrity:-
Academic integrity is defined in terms of the assurance to the values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, legality and distribution.

Honesty :-
An academic community should advance the pursuit for truth, knowledge, scholarship and understanding by requiring intellectual and presonal honesty in learning, guiding, teaching and research.

Trust:-
An academic community should foster and cultivate a climate of mutual trust to encourage the free exchange of ideas and enable all to reach thier highest potential.

Respect:-
An academic community should promote respect and value among students, staff and faulty respect for self for others for scholarship and research, for the educational process and intellectual inheritance.

Fairness:-
An academic society should seek to ensure equality in institutional standards, practices and procedures as well as fairness in interactions between members for the community.

Responsibility:-
An academic community should sustain high standards of conduct in learning, guiding, teaching and research by requiring shared responsibility for promoting academic integrity among all members of the community.

Legality:-
An academic community should monitor valid legal norms related tothe conduct and publication of research particularly in relations to copyright, the intellectual property rights of third parties, the code of ethics in academic research terms and conditions regulating access to research resources.

Communications:-
An academic society should seek to make the result as widely and as freely available as possible

Misconduct includes (and is not limited to) the following acts:

Plagiarism:-
The Planned copying of ideas, text, data or other work ( or any combination thereof) without due permission and acknowledgement.

Piracy :-
The deliberate exploitation and misuse of ideas from others without proper acknowledgement.

Abuse of intellectual property rights:-
Failure to observe legal norms regarding copyright and normal rights of authors.

Abuse of research/Resources:-
Failure to observe the terms and conditions of institutionally licensed research resources.

Authorship and other publication Issues
Publication of research results is important s a means of communicating to the scholarly world so that readers may be informed of research results and other researcher may build on the reported findings . Infacts, it is an ethical obligation for an investigator at he university to make research findings accessible, in a manner consistent with the relevant standards of publication.

Conflict of interest:-
Academic members of staff may not allow other professional or outside activities to distract their attention from their primary responsibilities towards the university. They should maintain a significant and professionally acceptable presence on campus during each semester in which they are on active duty. Holidays and leave should be in accordance with the university regulations.

Defamation:-
Failure to observe relevant legal norms governing libel and slander.

Misinterpretation:-
The deliberate attempt to represent falsely or unfairly the ideas or works of others, whether or not for personal gain or enhancement.

Personation:-
The circumstances where someone other than the person who has submitted any academic work or data has prepared (parts of ) of the work.

Falsification and fraud:-
The falsification or invention of qualifications, data, information or citations in any formal academic exercise.

Sabotage / Interruption:-
Acting to prevent others from completing their work. This includes stealing or cutting pages out of library books or otherwise damping them: or willfully disrupting the experiments of others, or endangering institutional access to licensed research resources by willfully failing to observe their terms and conditions.

Professional Misconduct:-
Professional acts those are arbitrary, based or exploitative.

Denying access to information or material:-
To refuse others access arbitrarily to scholarly resources or to deliberately and unreasonable obstruct their progress.
