On 12th September 2024, the Department of Visual Communication organized an Industrial Visit cum Drama Stage Setup event that aimed at providing participants with a hands-on learning experience in the world of stage production. The visit took place at Egmore Theatre Museum, renowned for its historical accounts.
This event offered a unique opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes technical processes that bring theatrical performances to life. Participants interacted with professionals, observed the production process, and engaged in setting up a stage, gained practical skills in areas such as set construction, lighting arrangements, and sound engineering.
The visit was designed to enhance participants' creativity, collaboration, and technical expertise, bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications in stage production. It was ideal for students, aspiring stage managers, designers, and drama enthusiasts looking to deepen their knowledge of the craft.
