Cook a Story/ Poem to Suit your Taste  (18th July 2024)

Food is the basic aspect of human life, however it transcends it's primary purpose to sustain life in literature by becoming a symbols of memory, emotions, narratives, history, relationship, power, etc., In recognition of this, the Writer's Club of the college has chosen 'Food and Culture' as its thematic focus for the academic year 2024-2025, delving into the ways in which cuisine shapes and reflects our individual and collective experiences." 

On July 18, 2024, the Writer's Club of the college hosted a classroom activity, 'Cook a Story/Poem to Suit your Taste,' as part of their exploration of the academic year's theme, 'Food and Culture,'. The event encouraged the participants to pen a story or a poem inspired by their favourite cuisine, cultural practices and it's literary expressions.

The participants were divided into 10 groups and with a help of few vocabulary related to food and culture created their stories and poems. The activity was successful in instigating the creativity of the students to be novel in their writing.
