Classroom activity – Internship Program PPT Presentation

On 9^th July 2026, the IQAC and the Department of Microbiology jointly organized a Classroom Activity titled “Clinical Laboratory Internship Report Presentation”. A total of 29 students who had successfully completed a Clinical Laboratory Internship in various clinical diagnostic laboratories. Students presented their internship experiences through PowerPoint presentations. During the internship, students received hands-on training in different sections of the clinical laboratory, including Blood Collection (Phlebotomy), Haematology, Clinical Microbiology, and General Clinical Laboratory Practices.

The students explained the laboratory workflow, specimen collection and handling procedures, biosafety measures, biomedical waste management, quality control practices, and the operation of laboratory instruments. They also presented their learning experiences in haematological investigations, microbial culture techniques, Gram staining, biochemical identification of microorganisms, antibiotic susceptibility testing, and routine diagnostic procedures performed in clinical laboratories.
