Student Scribe Support Initiative

NSS unit of Annai Violet Arts and Science College took Student Scribe Support Initiative on 10th February 2026. As part of this initiative, selected students from our college, Annai Violet Arts and Science College, voluntarily participated as scribes for differently-abled candidates appearing in the 10th standard board examinations during the academic year. The volunteers were carefully briefed about the responsibilities and ethical conduct required while serving as scribes, ensuring adherence to examination guidelines.

During the examination period, the student volunteers assisted candidates who faced challenges in writing due to physical or learning disabilities. They transcribed answers as dictated by the candidates, maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the process. The initiative was coordinated efficiently in collaboration with examination authorities, ensuring that all necessary arrangements were in place.

The activity not only required academic support but also demanded patience, attentiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility from the volunteers. The participating students demonstrated commendable dedication and sensitivity while supporting their assigned candidates.
