Eye Screening Camp

On 15th July 2026, the IQAC, NSS unit & YRC of our college organized a Eye Screening Camp on the college campus to commemorate the Kallvi Valarchi Naal. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of our respected Chairman, Chev. Dr. N.R. Dhanapalan, Secretary, Mr. N.R.D. Prem Kumar, and Joint Secretary, Dr. P.E.R. Premchand, whose encouragement and support inspired students to actively participate in this health initiative.

The camp was conducted by a team of qualified ophthalmologists and optometrists who performed comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing, refractive error assessment, and screening for common eye disorders. Participants received personalized counselling on eye care practices, digital eye strain prevention, nutrition for healthy vision, and the importance of periodic eye check-ups. Students requiring further medical attention were advised to undergo detailed ophthalmic evaluation at specialized eye care centres.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff. NSS volunteers and YRC members efficiently coordinated participant registration, guided beneficiaries throughout the screening process, and ensured the smooth and systematic conduct of the camp.
