Cancer Through Art and Diet

On 17th February 2026, the IQAC, NSS Unit, and Fine Arts Club organized a Cancer Awareness Competition on the topic “Cancer Through Art and Diet” at the college campus. The event was designed to spread awareness about various types of cancer through creative expression and practical food demonstrations.
Each department was assigned a specific type of cancer to study and present. In addition to posters, students arranged displays of food items categorized into cancer-causing and cancer-preventing foods. They explained how processed foods, tobacco-related products, excessive sugar, junk food, and unhealthy lifestyle habits contribute to cancer risk. They also highlighted the importance of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, antioxidant-rich foods, and balanced nutrition in cancer prevention.
Participants confidently presented their topics before the judges, faculty members, and fellow students. The evaluation was based on creativity, clarity of explanation, relevance of content, presentation skills, and overall impact. The best poster presentation and best food display were selected and awarded certificates and medals in recognition of their efforts.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all departments and created a meaningful platform for awareness and learning. The program concluded successfully with appreciation from faculty members and organizers.
