Water & Sanitation Day Community Service Initiative – 2026

On 24 April 2026, IQAC & NSS organized a Water & Sanitation Day program as part of the Service – Environment initiative, with active participation from students of Annai Violet Arts and Science College. The program aimed to promote environmental awareness, water conservation, sanitation practices, and social responsibility among youth. As part of the initiative, a cleanliness drive was conducted at Korattur Lake, where students and volunteers collaboratively removed plastic waste and debris, contributing to the restoration of the lake’s ecosystem and emphasizing the importance of preserving natural resources. Additionally, participants visited nearby animal shelters, gaining insights into animal care and welfare while fostering empathy and compassion. The event resulted in improved environmental conditions, increased awareness among students, strengthened community engagement, and reinforced the significance of sustainable practices for a healthier planet.
