The Department of Accounting organized an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program in Schools on 2nd March 2026 at Annai Violet College with the objective of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and promoting innovative thinking among school students. The program served as a platform to bridge the gap between academic learning and the real-world application of ideas, and witnessed active participation from students. Designed to be interactive, engaging, and informative, the session included expert lectures introducing the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship and their relevance in the modern economy, idea generation activities where students brainstormed solutions to real-life problems, and case study discussions of successful entrepreneurial ventures to provide practical insights. Students also took part in group activities to collaboratively develop basic business ideas and models, while guidance sessions by mentors offered direction on nurturing ideas into viable ventures, including insights into market analysis and feasibility. The program adopted a participatory approach, ensuring active student involvement throughout, and proved to be a meaningful initiative in encouraging young minds to think creatively and entrepreneurially.
