Maaperum Tamizh Kanavu

On 03 rd September 2025, the Government of Tamil Nadu conducted a cultural program “Maaperum Tamizh Kanavu” at Velammal Engineering College. The program was designed to promote Tamil heritage and culture among students.

Through this initiative, participants gained insights into the depth of Tamil traditions and were encouraged to embrace their cultural identity with pride. The event also offered students an opportunity to explore Tamil customs, values, and cultural practices in greaterdetail. “Maaperum Tamizh Kanavu” is a flagship initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu and is created to foster appreciation for the Tamil language and culture among the student community.

The program was graced by the presence of Thiru. Yuga Bharathi lyricist, whose inspiring address motivated the students and added great value to the event.The event successfully provided students with deeper knowledge of Tamil customs, values, and cultural heritage, reinforcing their cultural pride and awareness.
