📅Date: February 13, 2026

On February 13th 2026, the IQAC and Department of Microbiology jointly organized a Lung Cancer Awareness program through poster making and exhibition in Room No.59, Annai Violet Arts and Science College. Students actively participated by preparing informative and creative posters highlighting the causes, symptoms, risk factors, and preventive measures of lung cancer.

Special importance was given to displaying food items that may increase cancer risk, such as processed foods, high sugary foods, smoked and preserved foods, excess junk food, and alcohol. As well as cancer-preventive foods including fruits, green leafy vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and antioxidant-rich foods that support lung health.

Faculty members guided students in presenting scientifically accurate information. The activity served both as an educational and community outreach initiative.
