Cancer Awareness Program

On 17th February 2026, the Department of Chemistry organized a Cancer Awareness Program. A group of 22 students, accompanied by Mr. S. Deepak Kumar, Dr. K. Premalatha, and Dr. R. Saranya, Assistant Professors, Department of Chemistry, Annai Violet Arts and Science College, actively participated in the programme.
The students created charts and models related to ovarian cancer, focusing on educating the public about its symptoms, risk factors, and prevention strategies such as maintaining a healthy diet, receiving vaccinations, and avoiding tobacco.
The participants also pledged to support a global movement advocating workplace support and personal health initiatives. They emphasized prioritizing regular screenings for early detection and promoting proactive healthy lifestyle choices to increase survival rates
