NSS Special Camp 2025 – 2026

The NSS Special Camp for the academic year 2025–2026 was conducted by NSS Units I and II of Annai Violet Arts and Science College at Thirumullaivoyal with the theme “Healthy Youth for Healthy India.” The camp commenced with an inaugural function addressed by local dignitaries, who highlighted the role of youth in community development. Throughout the seven days, NSS volunteers actively participated in cleanliness drives at public parks and residential areas, promoting environmental hygiene and civic responsibility. Awareness programs were conducted through pamphlet distribution on eye care and breast cancer prevention, followed by a lake restoration activity in collaboration with the Environmental Foundation of India. The camp also included free eye screening and breast cancer awareness programs that benefited a large number of community members. Visits to old age homes and children’s homes enabled volunteers to distribute essential items and engage meaningfully with residents. A voters’ awareness signature campaign was organized to encourage democratic participation among young citizens. The camp concluded with a blood donation drive in association with a local hospital and blood bank, successfully collecting 37 units of blood, thereby reinforcing the spirit of service and social commitment among the volunteers.
