MOVIES AND LIFE: Review Writing for Mona Lisa Smile (2003)

On 23rd March 2026, the Writer’s Club of the Department of English organized a club activity titled “MOVIES AND LIFE: Review Writing for Mona Lisa Smile (2003).” The activity focused on feature writing through film review. Students were guided to analyse the themes, characters, and social messages presented in the film. They were encouraged to connect the narrative of the movie with real-life perspectives, particularly issues related to women’s roles, education, and societal expectations. Participants wrote detailed reviews highlighting their interpretations and critical viewpoints. The session enabled students to engage deeply with the film while enhancing their analytical and expressive writing abilities.
