Workshop on Angel Investment and VC Funding Opportunity

The Department of B.Com (Accounting and Finance) of Annai Violet Arts & Science College, in collaboration with IQAC and IIC, organized a seminar on Angel Investment / VC Funding Opportunities for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs on Tuesday, 15th July 2025 at the Mini Seminar Hall. The resource person, Dr. Pushpalatha, Assistant Professor, Anna Adarsh College for Women delivered an insightful session on the role of angel investors and venture capitalists in nurturing start-ups.

She discussed the fundamentals of funding, differences between angel investment and venture capital, investor criteria for selecting start-ups, and the importance of business models, scalability, and innovation. The seminar also highlighted case studies of successful start-ups, practical steps to pitch to investors, and strategies for building long-term investor relationships. Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions provided participants with clarity on the challenges and opportunities in the entrepreneurial funding ecosystem.
