“Vagupparai Thorum Valluvam.”

Under the leadership of Chevalier Dr. N. R. Dhanabalan, Department of Tamil of Annai Violet Arts and Science College along with the Tamilaran Students Association, organized a special event titled “Vagupparai Thorum Valluvam.” on 19th Aug 2025

The event was presided over by the College Principal Dr. S. Initha Lebanon Ebency and Vice Principal Dr. Japia Solomon. Dr. S. Chitra, Head of the Department of Tamil delivered the welcome address.

The Coordinator of the Tamilaran Association, Ms. Yazini delivered a special address to the students. In her speech, she highlighted the greatness of the Tamil language, emphasized that preserving Tamil is the duty of students, and affirmed that Tamil is our true identity.

As a continuation of the program, 133 students simultaneously wrote down all 1,330 couplets of the Thirukkural on placards, setting a remarkable record.

Through this event, the importance of Tamil language and the greatness of Thirukkural were meaningfully conveyed to the students.
