Traditional Art with Natural Colors

The IQAC and The Department of Visual Communication organized a seminar titled “Traditional Art with Natural Colors.” The seminar aimed to explore the intersection of cultural heritage, sustainability, and artistic expression through traditional art forms that utilized natural, eco-friendly pigments.

 

The academic and practical session delved into the historical significance, techniques, and regional diversity of traditional art practices that relied on colors derived from plants, minerals, and soils. Participants gained insights from subject matter experts, artisans, and researchers, who discussed the relevance of preserving these art forms in the modern age. The seminar also highlighted the environmental benefits of using natural pigments and their potential applications in contemporary sustainable art practices.
