Seminar on Ideate and Innovate – Unlocking Creative Potential

On 25th August 2025, the IIC, IQAC, and the Department of Biochemistry jointly organized a seminar titled “Ideate and Innovate – Unlocking Creative Potential.” The program commenced with a prayer song by the college choir, setting a graceful tone for the event.

The Chief Guest, Dr. N. Kanagam, M.Tech, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of Phycosol Ecotech Private Limited, Chennai, was warmly welcomed and introduced by Dr. P. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry. As a gesture of respect and appreciation, he was honored with a shawl and a plant sapling by Mr. K. Meena, Assistant Professor, and Mrs. Violet Buela, IIC Coordinator.

Dr. Kanagam delivered an inspiring address, sharing insights from his entrepreneurial journey and passion for innovation. Her talk covered a wide range of impactful themes, including technological evolution, modern lifestyle advancements, bioremediation, phycoremediation, and the application of microalgae in converting waste into wealth. She also gave an overview of Phycosol Ecotech and its pioneering contributions to sustainable environmental solutions.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. S. Nirmala Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry.
