On August 28, 2025, the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology successfully organized a Professional Development Programme (PDP) titled “Medical Coding in the Era of Digital Health and AI.” The session was exclusively arranged for the faculty members of the Biochemistry and Microbiology departments, with the objective of enhancing their understanding of the evolving landscape of healthcare documentation and technology integration.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, who was warmly felicitated by Dr. R. Harini, Head of the Department of Biochemistry. The resource person, Mr. Monishraj Balaji (B.Sc, MBA, CRC), Team Lead at Medlearn Vision Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Teynampet, Chennai, delivered an insightful lecture on the importance, scope, and future of medical coding in the context of digital health transformation and artificial intelligence.
