Interview for Acting in Drama

To unleash the acting potential of students by providing a supportive and creative environment where they can explore various forms of expression. This objective aims to stimulate a genuine interest in acting by exposing students to basic techniques, theatrical exercises, and performance opportunities that ignite their passion and build self-confidence.  The program seeks to clarify common doubts and misconceptions regarding acting—such as fear of public speaking, stage anxiety, or the belief that acting is only for a select few—by offering practical guidance, mentorship, and encouragement.

On 7th July 2025,The Tamil Theatre club along with IQAC Organized a activity  ”Interview for Acting in drama in order to bring out and nurture the acting skills of students,  The primary aim of this session was to identify students with a natural flair for drama and performance. During the interviews, key aspects such as facial expressions, voice modulation, body language, and overall acting potential were carefully observed. This process not only helps in forming a capable cast but also encourages students to overcome stage fear, build self-confidence, and explore their creative talents in a supportive environment.

The interview session successfully revealed the acting talents of the students, providing a platform for them to express their creativity and performance abilities. Through engaging interactions, students showcased their potential in voice modulation, facial expressions, and emotional delivery. In addition to practical demonstrations, students enthusiastically responded to questions related to acting, including topics such as character interpretation, stage presence, and overcoming performance anxiety. This not only deepened their understanding of the craft but also helped clear common doubts about acting. The session proved to be both informative and inspiring, paving the way for further exploration in dramatic arts
