AWARENESS PROGRAM :GST AND TAXATION POLICY

The session started with Introduction to GST and taxation policies which covered the basics of GST Concepts and benefits, Tax calculation, and Filing procedure for III Bcom (G) for more than 75 students

Mr.Vignesh Sathiamurthy, explained the structure, implementation, and benefits of GST, including its role in eliminating multiple indirect taxes and fostering a unified market. The session was interactive and the case study discussion by the speaker helped the students to understand the concept in detail. He also discussed about the timely filing of GST returns to avoid penalties and interest, Current updates and amendments in the Act which was an eye openingthe students. Students developed a clearer understanding of “One Nation, One Tax”, improving their grasp of tax compliance and its importance.

This session fostered awareness, engagement, and responsible attitudes toward taxation, preparing students as future professionals and informed taxpayers
