International Day Against Drug Abuse – Pledge

On June 26, 2025, the IQAC and NSS Unit of Annai Violet Arts and Science College organized a pledge-taking ceremony to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event aimed to raise awareness and express strong opposition to drug use, encouraging students to commit to a drug-free life and promote a healthier, safer society.

During the ceremony, NSS volunteers took an anti-drug pledge, affirming their resolve to stay away from drugs and educate others about their harmful effects. This symbolic gesture helped sensitize the student community and encouraged collective action against drug abuse, aligning with the global mission to combat narcotics and substance misuse.
