International Day Against Drug Abuse – Marathon

On June 26, 2025, the Police Commissionerate of Avadi organized a “Drug Awareness Marathon” at the Police Public Convention Hall, Avadi, to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event aimed to raise awareness among the public, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The IQAC and NSS unit of our college actively participated in the marathon, with nearly 63 NSS students joining to demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility and wellness. During the event, Dr. Anbarasu from our institution released his audio awareness CD, which received a positive response from the audience and was appreciated for its relevance and impact.
The students who participated in the marathon were honored with certificates of participation, recognizing their efforts in supporting this noble cause. A moment of pride for the college came when Mr. Roshan from III BCA secured 8th position in the race and received special appreciation from the organizers. This event served as a powerful platform for spreading the message of drug-free living and fostering youth engagement in socially impactful initiatives.
