Healthy Gut, Healthy Life – Deworming Tablet Distribution
On 10th August 2026, the IQAC & NSS unit of our college organised the “Healthy Gut, Healthy Life – Deworming Tablet Distribution Programme” on 10.08.2026 as part of its health awareness initiatives.
The programme was conducted with the support of Menambedu Urban Primary Health Centre. Mrs. Grace Sasikala, UHN, and Ms. Shruthi, ANM, interacted with the students and provided valuable awareness regarding intestinal worm infections, their causes, symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining proper personal and environmental hygiene.
The resource persons highlighted the importance of regular handwashing, wearing footwear, consuming clean food and safe drinking water, and maintaining hygienic sanitation practices to reduce the risk of worm infections. They also explained the health benefits of deworming and provided appropriate guidance regarding the deworming tablets.
Following the awareness session, deworming tablets were distributed to the eligible students with the guidance of the healthcare personnel. The NSS volunteers actively supported the programme by assisting in the orderly distribution and coordination of the activity.
