DRAWING AND ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

The Fine Arts Club organized Drawing and Essay Writing Competitions under the SVEEP Programme as directed by the District Election Officer and District Collector, Tiruvallur. The event was held on 21st August 2025 to promote voter awareness among students. The drawing theme was “India I Dream, as a Young Voter” and the essay theme was “I am 17 – Ready to Register, Ready to Vote.” Students participated with their own materials, and essays were required to be neat, original, and handwritten within the prescribed word limit. The best five entries were selected and uploaded to the SVEEP portal for district-level evaluation.

The event created awareness among students about the significance of voter registration and active participation in the democratic process. It provided a meaningful opportunity for students to showcase their creativity, vision, and sense of responsibility as young voters. Through drawing and writing, participants reflected on their role in shaping a better society, while also strengthening their artistic and literary abilities. The recognition of selected entries at the district level further motivated students to engage in nation-building activities and embrace their civic duties.
