Nadaga payilarangam (7th May 2022)
The aim of the workshop is to raise student understanding of stage presence and the importance of theatrical voice.On May 7, 2022, Department of Tamil organized a workshop titled "Nadaga Payilarangam." Dr. R. Santhanakrishnan, Coordinator and Head, Department of Tamil, welcomed the gathering. The sessions were divided into two and the guest speaker of the day was 'Yakar' S. Velayutham, writer, director, and actor. The speaker discussed about body language and acoustics. He taught students about the fundamentals of body language as well as the depth of voice on stage. Ms.C.R.Piriyadarshini I BA Tamil, delivered the vote of thanks.The session gave students a rudimentary knowledge of the significance of stage presence.
