Workshop on GST and its implications on Business & Trade (8th September 2021)
Mr. Brucelee, a tax consultant and an Alumni of our College, was the resource person. He discussed the economic development through the implementation of GST, the rise in the number of tax payers, and the increase in revenue. He further elaborated on how the implementation of GST has aided in the establishment of a single tax system as well as tax administration reform. In addition to this, he discussed about understanding the need for GST, highlighted on GST provisions, rules, and procedures, implications of GST on current business arrangements, transition to GST from existing practices, and GST do's and don'ts with students.
