“Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader… They set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role but always about the goal”. On 1st August 2024, the college set out it’s student leader on an embarking journey to make new legacies. The investiture ceremony was presided by the chief guest Major Dr. R. Selvi, Assistant Professor, PG & Research Department of Historical Studies, Associate NCC Officer, Quiad-E-Millath Government College for Women.
The event witnessed student forum, house captains and vice captains, college clubs and cells and department clubs coordinators and members and class representatives being formally installed into their duties, followed by oath to carry out their responsibility with utmost dedication.
Moving forward the chief guest addrssed the gathering. The chief guest’s address reinforced the commitment that required to be abled and inspiring leaders. Quoting from great world leader’s definition of a good leader and citing the sacrifices of leaders who paved way for Indian democracy, the speech emphasized the golden rule of leadership, “Walk more and talk less”. She further emphasized on hard work, persistent learning, studying, sacrifices and most of all to love what one is doing.
