To celebrate World Photography Day, a photography competition has been arranged for students under six select themes. They are Prism/ Mirror, Meaningful Location, Tell a Story with Objects, Sun Flare, An Animal, and Reflection. Students are given a set of instructions to be followed while taking shots. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students have taken active participation in it. Totally 57 students from various departments registered for the competition. Based on the received responses from the participants, Vasanthakumar. M of II B.sc Biochemistry, Keerthivaasan. G of II M.sc Biochemistry and Giridharan. S of III BA Economics has bagged first, second and third places respectively. Karthik. M of III B. Sc Microbiology has been given special mention honour for his skill. Media Club coordinator Ms. Keerthana has judged the competition. Despite of the partial lockdown period, students have shown immense interest and have submitted their photographical skills in the most possible artistic way.
The students have received the competition with enormous interest. They have even been happy to work under the given themes. Students have worked on Meaning Location and An Animal themes mostly.
